As we look ahead to next year, we are pleased to share the key focus areas for the Annual Training 2026-2027. Take 2 minutes to watch our video, including sample questions for each topic.
For Group A Testers (motorcycles and sidecars), the annual assessment will center on:
1. Lamps, reflectors and electrical equipment
2. Information in the MOT testing guide
3. Braking requirements 5
4. The MOT inspection manual for motorcycles and sidecars
5. Topics from previous training years
We encourage everyone to begin preparing early and approach the process as an opportunity for development and progress. A strong foundation today will help drive even greater success in the year ahead!
If you test vehicles in both group A and group B, you need to study all the topics. You also need to train for at least 6 hours a year (instead of 3) and take 2 annual assessments. You can watch our video for Class B here.
Preparation is key. Reviewing the latest MOT manuals and guidelines will give you a solid foundation. Many testers find it helpful to attend our onsite training sessions and even attend our refresher courses to boost their confidence.
